The Procurement Manager will primarily be responsible for overseeing the sourcing strategy, negotiation, and vendor management for NVA Canada’s major partner agreements. This is a unique opportunity to work on multi-million-dollar contracts that will influence the direction of NVA Canada’s overall business operations and support functions. The successful candidate will also lead NVA Canada’s overall category management plans with engagement in marketing, merchandizing, pricing, ancillary product promotion, and related teams.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Improving growth and profitability long-term by:

o determining NVA Canada’s overall vendor partnership strategy in partnership with leader and colleagues
o reviewing and negotiating national contract agreements in conjunction with legal and other internal stakeholders

o collaborating on the execution and implementation of strategic pricing and category management process within Canada and in collaboration with USA

  • Partnering for success day-to-day by:

o supporting the day-to-day needs of practices’ sourcing needs such as large site-level Capex procurement projects
o building relationships with major vendors, suppliers, and distributors
o assessing business stakeholder needs and gathering their requirements
o driving adoption of preferred partner agreements with clear and succinct communication with hospital leaders in partnership with marketing

o Collaborating with multiple stakeholders across various departments including finance, marketing, hospitals, field operators, and senior management

  • Seeking continuous improvement:

o growing and coaching direct report(s) to maximize analysis and integration, collaboration and support their development
o executing analyses on existing agreements and examining opportunities for additional overhead and COGs savings
o partnering with finance, US Procurement and enterprise transformation teams to increase automation and process efficiencies.
o writing sourcing documentation and statements
o keeping abreast of industry and market trends and best practices

What You’ll Bring to NVA Canada:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in sourcing, logistics or procurement
  • 8-10 years’ experience in contract negotiations and vendor management
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience leading teams in procurement, sourcing or category management
  • Prioritization, organization, communication, and multi-tasking skills
  • Experience working with veterinary practices an asset
