Our Indirect Supply Chain (ISC) organization is seeking a Procurement Manager (Level K) to support Global Research and Development. You will be joining ISC’s Research, Development & Innovation (RD&I) team. This role leads a diverse group of procurement professionals responsible for managing all agreements with key strategic partners, both globally and within the Government space.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 5+ years of experience in a supply chain or procurement related role (e.g., finance, compliance, contracts)
- 3+ years of experience leading teams
- Experience working with globally dispersed teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Experience with government contracts, grants, university agreements, or related R&D projects/work
- Experience executing on a R&D proposal
- 3+ years of experience leading projects or teams in negotiation strategies
- Demonstrated success in working independently, acting autonomously when making decisions
- Demonstrated success in leading teams through change and bringing external ideas to bear on ways of working
- Familiar with customer-funded research and development arrangements
Responsibilities:
- Supports team and provides guidance around strategic agreements that enhance efficiency for our stakeholders
- Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements
- Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes and supplier diversity
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and employees
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools
- Leads, manages, develops and motivates employees
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
