Description:

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our regional property development procurement team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property development and construction procurement with experience in sourcing materials from different parts of the region including China, as well as other property-adjacent sectors such as F&B. This role ensures efficient and cost-effective acquisitions essential for our operations.

The role includes but is not limited to the below:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies for property development.
  • Continuously refine and optimize the procurement process for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including tendering, contract negotiation, shipment logistics and post-contract supplier management.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers from different parts of the region, namely Singapore, China, Indonesia and potentially other regional countries.
  • Build and sustain strong supplier relationships through regular performance reviews and collaborative efforts.
  • Negotiating contracts and agreements to ensure favourable terms and conditions for the company.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address issues promptly.
  • Develop and maintain accurate procurement documentation records for monitoring order status and cost history.
  • Facilitating efficient sourcing and timely quotation processes.
  • Coordinate, monitor and expedite order deliveries along with logistics to guarantee the timely availability of required items.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies while maintaining quality standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive price analyses and generate reports on purchasing activities and cost savings.
  • Oversee inventory levels and implement control measures to minimize excess inventory.
  • Ensure adequate stock levels to meet operational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to procurement activities.
  • Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks to protect the interests of the company.
  • Monitor market trends and conduct cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand material and technology requirements and project timelines.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, focusing on property development/construction.
  • Experience in sourcing materials from different parts of the region.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, adept project management capabilities, and a comprehensive understanding of the procurement process.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Highly adaptable and resilient, thriving on change and challenges.
  • Self-motivated with a hands-on and can-do positive work attitude.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and Indonesian is a plus.
