Responsibilities:

  • Crafting and executing procurement strategies in alignment with organizational goals and market changes.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external vendors to optimize procurement transactions and stay abreast of industry trends.
  • Guiding the establishment of procurement targets and KPIs in line with business development strategies.
  • Developing selection processes and criteria for prospective vendors.
  • Implementing robust audit procedures for procurement documentation to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
  • Enforcing corporate governance measures, including adherence to procurement laws, ethical sourcing standards, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Driving the adoption of technology applications to enhance productivity and innovation in procurement processes.
  • Innovating current work processes through feedback loops and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Establishing clear criteria for vendor proposals to ensure alignment with organizational needs and standards.
  • Directing the sourcing of vendors that meet procurement requirements and leading negotiations with selected vendors.
  • Forecasting inventory needs based on business requirements and market demands.
  • Authorizing payments to vendors based on delivery verifications and reconciliations.
  • Modifying contracts based on vendor performance to meet procurement requirements and quality standards.
  • Leading the department’s financial budgeting process to secure funds for departmental activities.
  • Overseeing the professional and career development of subordinates.
  • Managing the recruitment and retention efforts of the department.Conducting reviews and analysis of work outcomes to evaluate the effectiveness of processes and procedures
