Description:
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Experience in a similar role, ideally in any/some of the following sectors: civil engineering, construction, renewables, oil and has, offshore, ports and mining
- English, fluent proficiency both verbal and written
- Confidently able to use SAP
- Experience in using Microsoft Office systems
- Willingness to travel both across the UK and overseas where necessary

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:
- Procurement Manager for Heavylift and Transport Projects
- Salary £43,300 - £55,000 depending on experience with excellent benefits package
- Working at the Mammoet office in Thornaby, Teesside with some travel required both in the UK and overseas
Mammoet is looking to hire a Procurement Manager who will be responsible for purchasing of the region, implement sourcing strategies in line with global procurement manual in order to leverage the buying power for saving and better value for money.
Reporting into the Operations Director, this is a full time, permanent position based from the Mammoet UK office in Thornaby. As part of the role there will be travel in the UK and overseas.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Develop, manage and ensure realisation of the regional procurement and sourcing plan in accordance with the Global Procurement Manager
- Negotiate with suppliers, acquire approval, prepare (proposals for) and close contracts in order to fulfil the business requirements
- Ensure overall quality of supply of third-party good and services, through selection of suppliers, contract management and monitoring of supplier performance to support the internal customer
- Report periodically on procurement performance across the region and relevant countries, business and projects for the designated scope
- Manage, coordinate and improve administrative activities and systems in line with internal requirements
