Role purpose
The purpose of the Procurement Manager is to foster key supply partnerships and manage ongoing performance across Vicinity’s strategic supply partners. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for creating long term enterprise value from strategic contracts whilst establishing and maintaining best practice governance as a key business partner.

The Role

  • Support the delivery of sustainable practices and key metrics across various categories
  • Lead sourcing activities to deliver value creation (& cost avoidance) to the business by creating and analysing documented comparative costs submitted in the RFx process
  • Lead strategy development in key categories aligned to ELT goals and business needs
  • Establishing pricing and performance standards through contracts with suppliers
  • Negotiate commercial terms and execute agreements
  • Foster an innovation marketplace for suppliers and drive strong business partnering and supplier connectivity
  • Ensure all safety factors and risk contingencies are considered and align to business standards
  • Support and drive sustainability objectives throughout the supply chain

What will you bring?
You will be a senior Procurement professional across multiple areas of procurement, operations and service delivery. You will bring demonstrated experience managing top tier vendors including the management of external relationships with both account managers and senior management. A proven track record of implementing strategic procurement initiatives will be highly regarded.

As a Procurement Manager you thrive on collaboration with stakeholders both internal and external, and continuously imagine a better way to create value using your skills, knowledge and procurement expertise. You will have a strong background in influencing a wide variety of stakeholders across organisations coupled with excellent communication skills in order to achieve business outcomes. You will be comfortable in:

  • End-to-end category management including strategy development;
  • Working autonomously to drive outcomes on high profile business critical spend categories; and
  • Leading best in class governance and risk management for your elected categories across facilities management
  • Relevant qualifications MCIPS - Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply is desirable.
