Job Title: Procurement Officer
Location: Hybrid Working and FAI HQ Abbotstown
Direct Reporting Line To: Procurement Manager
Commencement Date: ASAP
Duration: Fixed term – 18 months.

OVERVIEW:

The FAI is seeking to appoint a Procurement Officer to support the ongoing development of the FAI Procurement function. This role involves overseeing a wide range of products and services spend and being involved in category areas such as HR, Professional Services, Marketing, Team Operations, Grassroots, Football and Logistics. The successful candidate will identify opportunities for consolidating spend and undertake tendering and contract management opportunities for a wide range of requirements. The position is based within the FAI’s Finance Team.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out competitive procurement processes from end to end in collaboration with business units to ensure value for money, compliance, and best practice.
  • Input into strategic procurement planning across the Association in consultation with key business departments and help establish procurement KPI’s for departments.
  • Process new supplier onboarding and contract performance management programs, including SLA and KPI implementation.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Support negotiation and supplier selection within the Association.
  • Participate in procurement projects across the Association, including central service and supply areas, ensuring business needs are aligned across the Association, category spend is managed effectively, and drive quality and cost savings for the Association.
  • Ensure compliance with the FAI Procurement Policy and other applicable FAI policies is maintained on an ongoing basis by all staff and those responsible for acquiring goods/services on behalf of the Association.
  • Continuously assess and support the procurement policy, procedures, and staff training to optimize administrative efficiencies.
  • Conduct staff training as required.
  • Deliver comprehensive and complete administration processes, tender management, record keeping, reporting, and budgeting procedures.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time as the role and the Team evolve.
