Description:

OUR CLIENT IS A MARINE MNC. DUE TO THEIR CURRENT EXPANSION PLAN, THEY ARE LOOKING FOR A PROCUREMENT OFFICER TO JOIN THEIR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT TEAM, IN HOPES OF DEVELOPING THE CURRENT HIGH PERFORMING TEAM. THEY ARE LOCATED IN THE CENTRAL.

Responsibilities

  • Execute requisitions according to company procedures.
  • Monitor vessel schedules and provide timely updates on requisition and delivery statuses to vessels and relevant stakeholders.
  • Determine the most cost-effective supply methods at various ports and proactively plan by considering the urgency of spares and the next feasible delivery location.
  • Coordinate the supply of ship spares and stores upon authorization from relevant departments.
  • Follow up with vessels for delivery confirmation and liaise with suppliers to resolve any discrepancies in items or invoices.
  • Develop new vendor relationships and manage existing ones.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned by the Purchasing Manager.

Requirement

  • Min Diploma in Engineering or Supply Chain
  • Min 4 years’ experience working in marine related industry
  • Skill in Microsoft Office suite
