Responsibilities:

As a Procurement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in transforming the approach to procurement across Digital Technology business areas by driving a collaborative and whole of government aligned approach. You will be responsible for managing procurement activities, delivering highly complex procurement services, managing contracts through their lifecycle, establishing operational practices for contract performance monitoring, liaising with customers to understand their requirements, and assisting in building the procurement capability of staff. Your ability to utilise various systems for data collation and analysis will be crucial in this role.
Utilise Excel, QContracts, SAP and other systems to collate and analyse data, informing sound decision making.
Manage procurement activities ensuring best practice, including provision of expert advice on specifications, evaluating offers, contract management and administration, supply market analysis and other general procurement activities.
Deliver highly complex and sensitive procurement services for the department, in line with whole of government procurement strategy and governance frameworks.
Manage contracts through post-award lifecycle as the single point of contact for suppliers on all contract matters.
Establish and maintain operational practices for monitoring, reporting, and strategy identification of contract performance and compliance at agency-wide, category and whole-of-Government perspectives.
Liaise with customers to understand their local/operational requirements and recommend convincing solutions that support whole of Government and agency aligned goals.
Assist in building the procurement capability of staff by developing the knowledge and skills of team members and key stakeholders.
