ABOUT THE ROLE

The Procurement Operations Cluster Director Central & Northern Europe is responsible for executing the global/regional strategies as well as developing local procurement strategies for defined areas to secure supply. The role works closely with strategic procurement and business partnering to ensure best-in-class services in a timely manner. Also, the role collaborates with other functions in Procurement Operations and with Procurement Excellence to ensure process standardization, system efficiency, and compliance with internal/external regulations as well as continuous improvement throughout the Procurement Operations organization.
The Procurement Operations Cluster Director is responsible for leading Procurement Operations Managers for the responsible geographies and location (mills, factories or offices).

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Cascade procurement execution strategy within the cluster and ensure compliance
• Ensure the segregation and cooperation approach between procurement functions is clearly understood by the team
• Develop local procurement strategies to mitigate risk, secure supply, generate cost saving/avoidance initiatives as well as value creation and bundling opportunities within the cluster and region
• Align with business partnering to fulfil Manufacturing’s requirements and priorities
• Control and reduce supply base for local categories
• Secure SLA fulfilment and guide the procurement team to reach KPIs
• Facilitate buying channel strategy and identify opportunity to contract volume and reduce ad-hoc buy
• Standardize processes and procedures to allow the team performing same task cross different locations
• Increase team’s flexibility to allow cross countries/region support if needed
• Share best practice across clusters and regions
• Collaborate with Procurement Excellence to deliver continuous improvement and develop reports
• Identify business/organizational needs and anchor it for further process development
• Identify improvement opportunities to further raise digitalization and system efficiency
