Description:
Robert Walters are working with an international health care company on a 3 month contract Procurement Operations Specialist position. This role offers the opportunity to provide support and expertise across key aspects of the purchase to pay (P2P) process for technology, including sourcing & commercial management capability, purchasing strategies, supply chain coordination, third-party service delivery & operational performance governance, and vendor invoicing & accounts management. The successful candidate will also have the chance to contribute to data analysis, reporting and pattern analysis on financial spend to develop insights that assist with the Technology sourcing strategy. This position is based in Melbourne CBD, and open to candidates in Sydney, with flexible work arrangements available.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As a Procurement Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting various aspects of our client’s procurement operations. Your ability to handle complex tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards will be essential in this role.
- Support management of vendor services and/or teams including managing performance to KPI’s
- Provide guidance, and direction to internal and external stakeholders to ensure adherence and compliance to Procurement and Finance policies
- Oversee and monitor the vendor service operations and reporting requirements including purchasing data quality metrics
- Support the implementation of strategic sourcing strategies and plans, driving technology spend to preferred supplier panels
- Identify, recommend and drive components of process and service improvement opportunities that will maximise value delivered to the Technology team
- Contribute to the introduction of technologies and data analytics capabilities to uplift manual operations and reporting
- Provide general support to the Risk, Governance and Performance leadership as required
The ideal candidate for the Procurement Operations Specialist role will bring a wealth of skills and qualifications to the table. You will have experience in using an ERP system, and a continuous improvement mindset will contribute to your success in this role.

- Extensive knowledge about accounting and Accounts Payable principles and procedures and/or strong financial process experience
- Experience in using an ERP system (e.g. PeopleSoft) would be an advantage
