Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

The procurement team play a key strategic role in delivering the best value for Crown. Working collaboratively with stakeholders and suppliers to deliver essential goods and services for the business, to help us create joyful experiences for our guests.

We have an opportunity for a Procurement Specialist for food to join our team. In this role you will partner with our Hotel, Food & Beverage and Events teams with sourcing and expediating activities. you will be responsible for;

  • Identify and provide products and/or suppliers to assist in improving profit margins, considering total cost of business, without compromising product quality or service.
  • Follow up on non-delivered goods with suppliers/customers in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Seek out cost saving opportunities and support with ad-hoc product sourcing
  • Be a trusted advisor by keeping up to date with market trends and sharing information on product availability

The key to success in this role is having broad experience in hospitality and restaurant industry. Understanding the business requirements and ability to effectively communicate and deliver procurement activities. You will need excellent communication skills and have the ability to manage various stakeholders. Experience in procurement would be advantageous but not essential. You will also have;

  • Thorough understanding of sourcing process, contracts and procurement operations
  • Demonstrated experience working within fast-paced, operational environments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and activities, working at a property and group-based level
  • Excellent communication and presentation, as well as strong negotiating and influencing ability
  • Genuine desire to learn, grow and contribute within the Crown Procurement tea
