Description:
This iconic Australian organisation is looking for a Procurement Specialist to join their team and lead the development of their strategic supply contracts. The successful will have the opportunity to work alongside a diverse, engaged, and supportive team in a service-oriented environment. Responsibilities include:
- Managing end-to-end procurements for a variety of goods and services categories, from tendering through to contract awarding and setup
- Supporting ongoing contract management activities
- Building and managing relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Implementing procurement strategies and identifying areas for operational improvements
- Performing cost and risk analysis, and setting appropriate benchmarks
Requirements include:
- Proven experience in procurement and/or category management positions
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders
- A strong understanding of procurement procedures and sourcing principals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or CIPS certification is desired
