Description:

This iconic Australian organisation is looking for a Procurement Specialist to join their team and lead the development of their strategic supply contracts. The successful will have the opportunity to work alongside a diverse, engaged, and supportive team in a service-oriented environment. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing end-to-end procurements for a variety of goods and services categories, from tendering through to contract awarding and setup
  • Supporting ongoing contract management activities
  • Building and managing relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Implementing procurement strategies and identifying areas for operational improvements
  • Performing cost and risk analysis, and setting appropriate benchmarks

Requirements include:

  • Proven experience in procurement and/or category management positions
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders
  • A strong understanding of procurement procedures and sourcing principals
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or CIPS certification is desired
