Job Title: Manager – India Procurement Center
Location: Bengaluru, Manyata Tech Park

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Risk Mindset –All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.
  • At least 9-10 years’ direct and relevant experience in delivering end-to-end sourcing & category management preferably in a centre of excellence and offshoring set-up.
  • Solid ability to manage and influence stakeholders and work collaboratively with customers and suppliers.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and PC skills and experience.
  • Deep understanding of leading practice procurement technology
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making ability.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work collaboratively, as one team.
  • Ability to think laterally and develop new and innovative solutions to problems.
  • Capability in procurement related risk management.Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

End-to-end category lifecycle-

  • Manage and direct the creation, implementation and delivery of an end-to-end category strategy.
  • Proactively manage, understand and develop competency in the following areas:
  • business category requirements.
  • broad and specific business objectives.
  • the supply market in detail including leading practice and technology trends.
  • spend analysis, demand drivers and demand management strategies.
  • risk and appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
  • negotiation tactics and strategies.
  • contracting approaches.
  • Deliver on agreed targets and objectives through the implementation of strategic or tactical procurement strategies/plans, including running RFXs and commercial evaluation of RFXs.
  • Utilise product, customer and channel portfolio knowledge and context, as well as data to develop insights and analytical solutions pertaining to business performance.
  • Develop effective performance management strategies across all sub-categories and major suppliers in line with the Supplier Governance Framework and in collaboration with the key business owners.
  • Take a ‘whole of Group’ view to everything we do and champion the value of a Group wide strategy where we believe it can add additional value to the organisation.
  • Identify metrics, tools, strategies and processes to optimise procurement and continually drive productivity.
  • Ensure savings and realised benefits are clearly defined, agreed and recorded by the business and procurement team.
  • Ensure supplier transition/implementation is managed efficiently and effectively per bank policy and procedure.
  • Manage and influence stakeholders and develop stakeholder management capability within the team.

Leadership-

  • Interact directly with the GROUP PROCUREMENT, BU Leadership Team to develop, manage and execute procurement strategy.
  • Advocate compliance to Bank-wide and Procurement processes and technology.
  • Champion GROUP PROCUREMENT across the business, supplier network and industry network

Risk Management-

  • Demonstrate a full and comprehensive understanding of risk and risk processes.
  • Provide and deploy appropriate process and governance to address all aspects of risk.Ensure that you, comply with Group policies and procedures and any relevant external legislative requirements.
