Position Overview : We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Produce Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to the handling, stocking, and presentation of produce in our store. This role offers an exciting opportunity for growth, with the potential for advancement into a 2IC (Second-in-Command) position for the right candidate who demonstrates exceptional dedication, leadership skills, and ambition.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a retail or grocery environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Enthusiasm for learning and growing within the company
Responsibilities:
- Assist with inspecting, and stocking produce deliveries.
- Ensure the quality and freshness of all produce items in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the produce department, including display areas and storage areas.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, product selection, and recommendations.
- Rotate stock and remove any expired or damaged products from shelves.
