Danfoss Power Solutions, Work Functions Divisions is looking for a Production Application Engineer to join our global Product Application Engineering team in preferably Nordborg, Denmark or alternatively Ames, United States. Our team operates across three locations: Nordborg, Denmark; Ames, Iowa, Unites States; and Pune, India and consists of 10 professionals and 2 student workers who collaborate closely with our customers and our global sales network to implement Danfoss Power Solutions’ Steering- and Electrohydraulic Steering products to their applications. Our solutions frequently interface with our customers’ pre-existing systems, demanding seamless integration and innovative problem-solving.

BACKGROUND & SKILLS

To be considered for this position, you have a few years of experience from a similar role and/or a degree in Engineering with applicable student worker or internship experience. Furthermore, you have/are:

• Relevant work experience in hydraulics, mechatronics and/or electronic engineering.
• Experience in construction and agricultural machinery is a plus.
• Knowledge of SAP, Teamcenter, NX & AutoCAD is a plus.
• Proficiency in written and verbal English is essential; fluency in Danish and German would be beneficial.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As our new Product Application Engineer, you will test and optimize our products in our Application Development Center to ensure that our solutions align with the specific needs of our customers. Your strong understanding of our products makes you capable of navigating the various and changing customer needs. This entails a close collaboration with our specialized engineers to push the boundaries of what has been achieved before. Furthermore, your main responsibilities include:

• Specifying and initiating steering solutions, products, and modifications tailored to meet customer requirements.
• Providing technical advice and guidance to customers regarding the advantages of our solutions utilizing various communication channels such as email, phone calls, and in-person meetings.
• Educating colleagues in using, applying, and trouble-shooting our solutions.
• Participating in global customer visits to better understand their needs and to provide personalized support.
• Contributing to marketing efforts for new products and developing technical literature to enhance product awareness.
• Involvement in Product Maintenance and New Product Development (PMI/NPD) projects to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.

You can expect approximately 30 days of travel per year, primarily to customers, partners, and suppliers.
