For our Munich office, we are looking for a product application scientist (f/m/d) in part or full time.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A degree (at least a Master’s or Ph.D.) in a relevant field such as physics, engineering, chemistry, or a related discipline with a specialization in quantum technology, preferably semiconducting qubit technologies
  • Proven in-depth knowledge and understanding of quantum technologies, in particular spin qubits, semiconductor-based qubits, quantum dots, or related quantum technologies. Familiarity with relevant tools, software, and experimental techniques is essential
  • Strong communication skills in English to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including engineers, researchers, and customers
  • Ability to analyse complex problems, troubleshoot technical and experimental challenges, and develop innovative solutions
  • Proactive and self-motivated work ethic, demonstrating a ‘go-getter’ attitude towards planning, initiating, executing, and conclusively finishing projects
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicists, engineers, materials scientists, and software developers
  • Strong attention to detail in experimental design, data analysis, and documentation to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and reproducibility of results

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute in-house showcase measurements for quantum technology applications using our in-house standard and experimental cryostats
  • Summarize and document measurements, creating white papers, application notes, and supporting marketing and sales with application descriptions
  • Support the communication, coordination, and execution of in-house service measurements to meet complex customer requirements
  • Present findings at international scientific conferences and events
  • Support funded third-party projects by attending meetings and presenting progress
  • Aid product development by providing insights and requirements for specific applications
  • Provide scientific and technical consultation to sales, engineering, and development teams, aiming to enhance progress toward product application readiness
  • Assist in the launch of new products or product upgrades by providing technical expertise, creating marketing collateral, and participating in promotional activities
  • Stay abreast of advancements in relevant technologies and applications through participation in conferences and networking within the scientific community
