Tyvak International, a Terran Orbital company, is seeking a motivated Product Assurance / Quality Assurance Officer. You will become part of a growing Product and Quality Assurance team, a collaborative team to develop innovative nano-satellite vehicle solutions for multiple projects, ensuring a high-quality level of the spacecrafts. The individual will be responsible for managing the PA tasks and activities during the full program lifecycle, starting from design to in-orbit operations. The PA/QA Officer will work in close contact with the programs’ technical team and Program Manager, Institutional and Commercial Customers, and External Providers, in a fast-paced environment for both active Programs and Proposals.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-5 years of working experience as PA or Quality Engineer/Officer or equivalent role.
  • Bachelor’s/MSc degree in Aerospace Engineering, Management Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering is mandatory with no experience in the role.
  • In case of candidates without degree, a previous experience of maximum 5 years in PA/QA role is necessary, specifically in the activities detailed in this job.
  • Previous experience in aerospace, automotive, or engineering industries in process designing and managing Quality Management System.
  • Knowledge of the ECSS-Q standards and Quality Standards (ISO9001, AS/EN9100, etc.) is considered a plus.
  • Familiarity with spacecraft and/or launch vehicle control systems, Small satellite or CubeSat experience, is strongly preferable.
  • Familiarity with standard industrial quality control tools, or Atlassian suite is a plus.
  • Proficient use of written and oral English language.
  • Good communications skills and teamwork spirit.
  • Analytical abilities, aptitude for critical thinking and a rigorous attention to detail.
  • Strong problem solving and stress management skills
  • Flexibility and ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  • Availability for short national and/or international travel

Responsibilities:

  • Support and oversight the Assembly, Integration and Test activities of spacecrafts
  • Participation in Customer Project reviews (PDR, CDR, QAR, etc.)
  • Preparation and management of Key and Mandatory Inspection Points (KIP/MIP) during AIT
  • Preparation, implementation, and maintenance of product and quality assurance policies and procedures
  • Tailoring of the ECSS-Q based on the mission-specific objectives and requirements
  • Oversight of PA processes implementation in Program’s activities, including internal auditing activities
  • Management of Non-conformances, deviations, critical items control and Quality records generation
  • Preparation of PA/QA documentation for program reviews (Declared Lists, Nonconformance reports, Mission-Specific PA Plans, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Safety Data Package etc.)
  • Continuous improvement of Design, Assembly and Quality Processes and procedures
  • Guide the selection, evaluation and control of External Providers, and generate a Mechanical Parts, Materials, Processes and Components control processes in accordance with the required standards for the specific project
  • Adaptability to work in a small team environment closely with hardware, software, mechanical, and systems engineers, to ensure effective and efficient processes
  • Additional duties on quality matters may be assigned as needed.
