Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Do you feel passionate about working with products connected to future automotive technologies? Are you enthusiastic about collaboration, problem solving and have a mindset to create customer success? Do you want to be the bridge between product development and industrialization? WHAT YOU WILL DO IN A NUTSHELL:

  • Create, anchor and follow-up build time plans for the physical test objects.
  • Estimate and control budget for Product Build resources and material related to build of physical test objects.
  • Secure – based on engineering input – a correct Bill of Material (BoM) for all test objects.
  • Initiate part procurement based on engineering input such as Modification Request (MR), Bill of Material (BoM), Campaign Request, etc.
  • Anchor build time plan and part delivery needs with Prototype Purchasing and Logistics.
  • Lead and monitor build at plant or workshop until test object sign-off.
  • Be chairman for meetings linked to physical test object builds.
  • Give notice/alert with proposed actions if a build delivery cannot be met.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL ALSO INCLUDE:

  • Representing Product Builds in various forums across the Volvo Group.
  • Regularly report material status, build progress, etc. to project and/or customer.
  • Manage the internal Product Build network and deliver according to milestones in the project build process.
  • Ensure Bill of Material (BoM) and vehicle specification updates are documented in our systems (ProTOM etc.)
  • Continuously update process and improve way-of-working and document the same.
