Product Control Analyst - Cotton Division

Job Purpose :

• Monitoring trade activity and processes.
• Managing the integrity and accuracy of the Position report on global positions for Cotton.
• Identifying key drivers of P&L for Cotton desk through profit attribution analysis.
• Responsible for the coordination and reconciliation between trading and accounting books for the Singapore Entity.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance or Business
• At least 2-4 years experience in commodities which can include product accounting or middle office duties
• Strong communication skills at all levels
• High attention to detail
• Advanced Excel and BI/Analytics capabilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Trade-related duties and responsibilities include:

• Maintain the trading position for the Cotton division in the Singapore entity and report to the middle office coordinator.
• Work closely with the trading desk, logistics, and operations teams to ensure P&L calculations are accurately captured in the trading system and middle office.
• Conduct analysis on logistics costs and other components of the P&L.
• Liaise with the accounting team at month-end; investigate and resolve reconciliation issues:
• Reconcile month-end accounting P&L to trade P&L.
• Contribute to the reconciliation of accounts and inventory/ stocks for month-end closing.
• Perform daily tasks that contribute to the generation of the position report together with the middle office.

Projects/Upcoming tasks:

• Participate in business process improvements

• Reconciliation between trading and accounting books for other Asia Entities.Participate on ITAS trade system implementation in APAC entities
