Description:

The Product Data Specialist 1 is responsible for authoring and maintaining all parts and accessories product and vehicle fitment data in accordance with industry ACES and PIES data standards for manufacturers in the specialty automotive aftermarket. The Specialist 1 must have experience with data management with strong problem-solving skills. In addition to very strong technical skills, this position is a forward-facing role that will require regular interaction with customers.

PRIMARY SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Automotive industry knowledge
  • Familiarity with industry data standards, PIES and ACES
  • Knowledge of automotive aftermarket parts and accessories and vehicle fitments
  • Ability to follow specific and detailed instructions
  • Excellent time management skills, managing multiple tasks, priorities, and projects simultaneously
  • Ability to think methodically and keep well organized
  • Ability to work as part of a team and under own initiative
  • Willingness to learn and adopt new systems or procedures

Responsibilities:

  • Author and maintain automotive parts and accessories product data
  • Ensure communication flow between SEMA Data team and manufacturers/brand owners, and resellers are clearly documented
  • Standardize product information received from customers to ensure product data is consistent and accurate
  • Work with customers to increasingly improve their understanding and completeness of their product data
  • Perform peer reviews of mapped product information, including images, dimensions, descriptions, and fitment/application data
  • Understand and resolve data composition issues
  • Manage data within SEMA Data’s product information management systems
  • Monitor Help Desk entries and perform customer support duties with emails and live chat
  • Perform regular touch cycles to keep customers engaged
