About the role
My client is embarking on several strategic programmes of work that will create a technology platform to support the next evolutionary stage of the Investment Processes. Investment Management Technology, part of Investment Solutions & Services business, provides systems development, implementation, and support services.
The successful candidate will be tasked with delivering three critical outcomes:
- The delivery of new and consolidated cross asset class Investment Toolkit (ITK); replacing several legacy applications and data stores
- The implementation of Model Based Investing (MBI); a new operating model construct required to unlock strategic growth and scale
- The migration away from asset Pooling structures, a regulatory and counterparty risk
About your role
- As a Product Delivery Manager you will play a key role working with senior Business and Change leads to facilitate and lead the definition of viable business tooling and operating models
- Within a set product workstream, you will need to lead the definition and development of key tooling and data requirements, core Portfolio Management workflows and the potential redesign of underlying investment management and operational processes
- You will also be required to lead teams of business analysts and technical engineers’ teams to deliver against product roadmaps and backlogs, providing leadership, direction and support when needed.
- You will work collaboratively with solution and enterprise architects, UX designers, and wider delivery teams to ensure that solutions address the requirements of the business.
- The successful candidate will have a detailed knowledge of working in an Agile environment using Agile tools and techniques, behaviour driven development (BDD) as well as business analysis tools and techniques. You will have experience working with full scale Scrum or Kanban and be a competent user of Jira and Confluence.
About you
- The successful candidate would be expected to set a product strategy with a proven record of project participation and delivery ideally gained within Investment management.
- The ability to understand technical design and assess approach to rectify any issues encountered
- Understands Equity, Fixed income, Multi Asset flows and can lead the design and implementation activity to replace all our Front Office applications and associated operating models
- Detailed understanding of Investment management and how model-based investing is evolving across the sector
- Background in Investment management technology product development of all key asset classes
- Understanding of quantitative modelling techniques and life-cycle of model-based investing
- Able to understand performance and risk attribution of model-based investing
- Experience working on in-house/vendor product that supports model-based investing
- End to end development using formal methodologies, agile or iterative techniques (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP)
