    The Product Designer, Realcommercial is a member of the Design team which partners with Product and Engineering teams across the business to create amazing products and experiences for our consumers and customers. Our world-class team designs experiences that connect people and property, through immersive, intuitive and personalised experiences, providing Australians with knowledge and confidence to make great property decisions. Their passion for innovation drives them to create products our consumers and customers love.
    As the product designer for realcommercial, you will be focusing on designing meaningful experiences for our commercial consumers. Specifically, this role will be responsible for creating experiences that help to increase our active consumer membership base. Additionally, you will be contributing to maintaining our audience leadership against our nearest competitor.

What the role is all about

  • Explore new ideas and creative solutions that surprise and delight our users and create a positive brand perception, maintaining our market-leading position
  • Understand business opportunities, user needs, competitive landscape, and technical constraints to deliver products to market that drive user satisfaction and business growth
  • Follow appropriate processes and practices to solve problems in a consistent and efficient way. This includes utilising our Playbook and working within Federated Design frameworks
  • Work effectively with team members and stakeholders to solve problems and meet common goals. Share insight to foster a shared understanding and alignment with a ‘REA-first’ mindset
  • Communicate user needs, design rationales, requirements and other information in a clear, concise way to meet the needs of the audience
  • Work with others to plan, prioritise and undertake ‘just enough design’ using a lean mindset to achieve goals and deliver on objectives
  • Give and receive feedback with positive intent to build productive relationships and ensure diverse viewpoints are incorporated in design solutions
  • Deliver commercially feasible user-centric design solutions that meet team goals and business objectives
  • Support in conducting unbiased research utilising qualitative and quantitative methods to understand user needs and pain points. Help analyse data to understand patterns and opportunities
  • Deliver world-class products and features for our users, leveraging appropriate methods such as sketching, prototyping, user interface design, motion and interaction design with a strong level of competency
  • Ensure usability of products and features by validating usability, ensuring accessibility and desirability.
  • Help track and analyse performance of products and features; monitor use over time using analytics, surveying; iterate and experiment on the experience to achieve business and user goals
  • Deliver high quality experiences for our users using systems thinking that adheres with our visual identity and design system guidelines
  • Present work and participate in providing feedback in regular design critiques to ensure consistency and quality outcomes
