POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Product Designer will be a key player in our design team, bringing a high level of expertise in visual design along with a strategic product design approach. This role involves leading design projects from conception to execution, ensuring that our products not only meet the highest usability standards but also push the boundaries of visual excellence. This is a hybrid position based in Vancouver, Canada.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience in product or UI/UX design, with a proven track record of leading successful design projects
  • Excellent design skills with a portfolio that showcases a deep understanding of user-centered design, visual design principles, and clean, sophisticated aesthetics.
  • A keen eye for detail, particularly in layout, typography, and color usage as it applies to digital product interfaces.
  • Proficiency in a range of design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite(Specifically InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, After Effect) or similar.
  • Experience with or a strong understanding of design systems, and how they are applied to create consistent and scalable user interfaces.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and best practices for designing accessible digital products.
  • Proficiency in responsive design principles to ensure products deliver optimal experiences across various devices and screen sizes.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, interaction design, or a related field

  • Drive end-to-end design process, including user research, conceptualization, prototyping, user testing, and final implementation, with a keen eye on detail and visual aesthetics.
  • Champion the importance of user-centered design and visual excellence across all stages of product development, influencing product strategy and direction.
  • Execute the visual and interactive design of our product suite, setting new standards for excellence in visual design
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering to ensure a cohesive product strategy that aligns with our visual design principles
  • Stay ahead of design trends and technologies, incorporating innovative design solutions that enhance user experience and engagement
  • Contribute to the evolution of our design system, ensuring consistency and scalability of visual elements across our product ecosystem
  • Engage in regular design reviews, offering and receiving feedback to continually elevate the quality of our products.
