Delta Cosworth is looking to recruit a dynamic, hands-on and results-orientated Product Director to develop and lead the product strategy for future electrification and vehicle programmes.
Responsibilities:
- To be a key member of the Senior Leadership team supporting the overall strategy of the business in line with the MD’s strategy and procedures, including attendance at divisional meetings.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy, aligned with the company objectives and market trends.
- Lead an end-to-end product development process starting with defining product requirements. Collaborate with engineering teams to develop products and project management to ensure timely market introduction.
- Conduct research, gather feedback, and engage with customers to understand their needs, pain points, and preferences, and integrate these insights into product development.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs, emerging trends, and competitive landscape, and translate insights into actionable product plans.
- Write the business cases for any new products or capitalised developments including sales estimates and margin targets in collaboration with the Commercial Director.
- Monitor the competitive landscape, assess competitor products and strategies, and identify opportunities for differentiation and market advantage.
- Support the development of a robust supply chain including key electrification commodities e.g. cell and BMS suppliers / partners.
- Own and develop together with the business relevant electrification technology road maps.
- Proactively identify, prioritise and resolve issues as they arise utilising robust best practises such as 8D problem solving techniques.
- Ensure budgets and resources are planned effectively across multiple programmes including new business development.
- Attend shows and events to support the commercial activity, promotion of the business and market awareness
- Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
- Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.
