You will be working in a collaborative team environment based in our modern facilities on Rosebank Road, Avondale, Auckland. As a Product Development Engineer, you play a crucial role in the planning and managing of NPD and sustaining projects from conception to completion. You will collaborate across various functions of our business, working closely with our highly motivated teams in sales, product management, manufacturing and sourcing to bring innovative hardware designs to life. You’ll be involved in:

  • Project management: Providing the project team with a plan for the engineering work that will ensure the product can be delivered on time, within budget, and meet all quality standards.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Working closely with teams from different departments, from customer engagement to commercialisation, to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the product development process.
  • Troubleshooting and design improvement: Identifying and resolving technical issues, conducting thorough analyses and implementing design improvements to optimise product performance and cost competitiveness.

What you will bring

  • At least 8 years engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related product development qualification
  • Proven planning and time management skills and experience working in cross-functional teams
  • The ability and drive to lead positive change through systems and process improvements
