This is where you come in…
We now have a vacancy in our Refrigeration team for an experienced design engineer. You’ll be part of the team that is key to providing our customers a continuous stream of innovative, reliable refrigeration products that support and enhance the competitiveness of our brand by applying the philosophies and tools of Learning First (Lean Development) into everyday work practices.
You deliver excellent and timely technical/scientific knowledge and design that contributes to products that meet customer interests, through effective planning and application of Learning First Product Development methodologies and processes.
Like any valued engineering team member, you will contribute and deliver against functional plans, be able to plan your own work to achieve timely and effective outcomes. You are able to test and analyse a variety of concepts to create new knowledge, understand limits and develop trade-off curves in the format that is used for design decisions, and can be referred to and used by others. You will use knowledge gained from testing and research to design components and subsystems. You will take initiatives to actively problem solve during design using LAMDA methodology and address issues with performance and manufacturing as they arise. You will be able to apply design quality tools to ensure manufacturability and sustained quality.
Our design engineers effectively plan and co-ordinate design changes all the way through from concept to production. You should also be able to proactively collaborate with people from other teams to identify and develop excellent outcomes.

In order to be successful in this role, you must have relevant work experience of at least 5 years working as an engineer with a Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Mechanical).
