WHAT WILL YOU BRING?

We are looking for someone with a passion for delivering customer value and exceptional customer experiences. You should have deep product development and management experience, both digital and non-digital, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to translate complex concepts into easy sound bites. You should also have:

  • Exceptional presentation and pitching skills.
  • Experience managing operational teams.
  • Ability to design and implement delivery and service models.
  • Ability to take a lean approach to solution design and development and have agile delivery experience.
  • Commercial acumen and a strategic track record.

Desirable Requirements
Industry experience in utilities, clean technology, telco, or similar industries, as well as deep experience in commercial, operations, technology or product roles. A keen interest in exploring and developing solutions that contribute to the energy industry’s transition to renewables and Net Zero pathways is also desirable.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Product Development Manager, you will lead the design, development, deployment, and operation of new customer propositions associated with Origin’s community battery initiatives. Collaborating with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, you will lead the development of go-to-market plans, creation and deployment of digital experiences, ensure the effectiveness of day-to-day operational and data management processes. You will drive a customer centric approach to product development and be accountable for ensuring commercial viability of our community battery propositions as we consider product growth, performance and pricing, planning and reporting, monitoring market trends and managing the delivery roadmap.

Our team is tasked with developing new technologies, products, experiences, and business models to lead the energy transition and create value for our customers and our business. The team is running a number of community battery initiatives and we have launched a virtual storage product to customers. The next phase of the program includes operationalising the end-to-end processes, increasing marketing activity, developing the customer journey and experience, and evolving and growing the product range and strategic roadmap. Your Responsibilities will include.

  • Leading all aspects of product development, delivery, operations, and evolution, defining the product strategy and roadmap.
  • Critical analysis of in-market product performance, driving product evolution to match customer/market needs, creating the most scalable suite of offerings.
  • Managing and coordinating outcomes across multiple teams, ensuring alignment to a defined strategy.
  • Pitch our strategy and products to internal management and external stakeholders, driving the awareness and support required to grow a scale business.
