Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting into the National Sales Manager, New Business, the Product Development Manager is a senior product and business development position within the Origin Centralised Energy Services business (CES).
Centralised Energy Services is an innovative and fast-growing business unit of Origin Retail responsible for the delivery of Embedded electrical networks, Centralised Hot Water, and other utility-based solutions into high-density residential and commercial buildings across Australia.
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS?
- Identifying new product and market opportunities within the high-density building services segment. Examples include centralised aircon, certified environmental initiatives, solar PV, high voltage assets, cold water, new geographic market.
- Identifying existing product and market opportunities within the high-density building services segment. Examples include Sydney market penetration, retrofit market, unmetered product, HV embedded networks.
- Developing commercial business cases and technical designs for identified product and market opportunities.
- Testing of selected opportunities with the market, by leveraging existing industry and customer relationships
- Maintain business modelling tools to improve the financial assessment of opportunities for Sales and Retention teams.
