Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE
Burberry is seeking an experienced Product Development Manager to join our London head office. As Product Development Manager, you will hold accountability as the primary liaison for the Outerwear and Tailoring product categories. Leading a dynamic team of Product Developers and Assistants, you will drive collection delivery aligned with design briefs, while skilfully managing budget and critical path timelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Foster close collaboration with Design throughout collection development process.
- Act as technical partner for design, providing feedback, brainstorming solutions, and attending fittings.
- Manage critical path from concept to pre-production, ensuring adherence to deadlines and resolution of prototype/sample issues.
- Oversee collection budget, ensuring product costs meet margin requirements and overall budget constraints.
- Maintain vendor relationships, negotiating costs for prototypes & samples and ordering raw materials.
- Attend production meetings and facilitate smooth handoff to Production.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering teams for product testing and aesthetic changes.
- Ensure timely sample deliveries to showrooms before sales presentations.
