Cosmetica is seeking a driven Interim Marketing Assistant who has a passion for the beauty industry, social media, and graphic design. Our integrated Marketing Team develops and oversees the organization’s branding, marketing campaigns, digital strategy, and tactical execution. As part of the team, you will have a unique opportunity to work alongside world-class brands and leaders in the beauty space.
The interim marketing assistant is responsible for supporting the Marketing Team in delivering projects and initiatives to support our brand building and sales support efforts. This individual will work closely with the marketing coordinator to support the execution of the marketing plan.
The position will be based out of Cosmetica’s headquarters in Toronto and will report to the Marketing Manager, working closely with the Product Development team and Marketing and Product Development Director.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Digital Marketing

  • Assists the Marketing Manager/coordinator with asset development for digital marketing plans and calendars.
  • Support the marketing team with website updating, optimizing landing pages, and product pages.
  • Coordinate in-house social media photoshoots at the manufacturing facility. Plan social shoots at events, corporate initiatives, etc. Create shot lists for social content.

Content Creation

  • Social media content creation includes shooting and editing content for social channels, including lab behind-the-scenes production, innovation lab, human resources events, product development, team-building events, and more.
  • Assists with campaign photoshoots from concept to execution, from mood boards to call sheets to ideation to logistics of the shoot, from model contracts to scheduling. Shoots and edits behind-the-scenes social content at photoshoots.

Graphic Design

  • Design product labels, packaging, and materials to specifications using Adobe Suite.
  • Design materials for events, product launches, and other marketing channels, including signage, decals, printed labels, tradeshow materials, digital newsletters, social media graphics, website images, and more.
  • Photoshopping, editing, and post-production of images from agencies or in-house images.
  • Video editing for product launches, campaign videos, or social media.
  • Proofread with a high attention to detail all promotional materials at each creative stage to ensure the final product meets the necessary requirements.
  • Supports in-house printing of promotional materials by finalizing artwork, testing label sizes, and assisting with internal execution. Assist with product branding and component labeling.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communication, Business or Design
  • Ability to multi-task in a demanding and fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service and collaboration skills
  • Self-starter, detail- and task-oriented, highly organized, with a customer- and results-oriented attitude
  • Microsoft and Adobe Suite knowledge
  • Relevant portfolio to showcase above skills
