Product Engineer (m/f/d)

• As part of the SoC Delivery team you drive Advantest towards operational excellence in anoutsourced manufacturing environment.
• Bring new instruments of the V93000 IC tester into production on time.
• Actively drive supply chain requirements into hardware and test software design to achieveefficient and predictable manufacturability by utilizing the capabilities of our partners.
• Manage quality, product changes and technical supply chain processes of products toconstantly fulfill customer and business requirements.
• Aspects to consider are manufacturing process optimization, cost reduction and qualityimprovement initiatives to drive supply metrics towards defined goals.
• Work closely with our contract manufacturers and internal teams in Development, SupplyChain and Product marketing in a very international environment.
• Provide special technical advice to peers and management.
• 10% business travelling.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s or master’s or PhD degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field.
• Ideally a basic knowledge of mechanics or mechanical engineering.
• A basic knowledge of end-to-end manufacturing processes of high-level electronic assemblies
• Good knowledge (ideally practical) of printed circuit assembly development andmanufacturing processes (such as work preparation, setup, screen printing,SMT assembly, inspection etc.)
• Analytical skills in failure detection (data analysis to identify HW errors, electronicmeasurements and debugging electronic assemblies).
• Ideally a basic knowledge of statistics and statistical process control.
• Ideally a basic knowledge of LINUX and C (or any of its variants) or Python.
• Proactive, flexible, and innovative mindset with problem-solving skills, demonstratingstrong ownership.
• Good communication skills and team player in cross-functional, cross-company andinternational (overseas) teams.
• Fluent in written and spoken English: confident use of technical terms, e.g. when creatingdocumentation and ideally, at least B1 level (intermediate) in German.
• Positive attitude and confident demeanour when dealing with suppliers and customers.
• Good self-organization and self-motivation are required to thrive in the constantly changingwork environment of this multi-faceted job.
