We are looking for a Product Engineer – a skilled individual that contributes to the design and development of cutting-edge medical device products. This role will play a key role in changing the trajectory of the company through innovative contributions. This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of reshaping healthcare by introducing products that revolutionize patient care and industry standards.

WHAT WE NEED

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in supporting innovation within the healthcare or medical device industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for 3D modeling and design an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication, organization, prioritization and collaboration abilities.
  • Familiarity with Canadian and international regulatory processes in the healthcare sector is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic product development initiatives aligned with the company’s vision, with a focus on transformative innovations.
  • Act as a catalyst for change within the organization, supporting a culture of innovation and pushing the boundaries of what is possible in healthcare product development.
  • Play a key role in the implementation of novel ideas, technologies, and methodologies to differentiate Southmedic in the market.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams across the organization, leveraging diverse expertise to ensure the successful integration of innovative concepts into product design.
  • Spearhead the development of high-quality prototypes, utilizing available technologies and methodologies to showcase the potential of innovative product concepts.
  • Lead iterative design processes based on prototype testing outcomes to optimize product performance.
  • Assist in the navigation of various regulatory landscapes to facilitate the timely approval and market entry of revolutionary healthcare solutions.
