Brooks is looking for a Product Manager as we accelerate our growth journey. Supporting the Brooks Semiconductor Atmospheric Systems business, the Product Manager is responsible for leading the product strategy, executing the product roadmap in a matrix organization, and achieving profitable margin, for a designated product or group of products.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Product Line Director or General Manager in the development of a 3-year product and business plan including growth strategy, pro-forma P&L including financial models.
Have overall responsibility for the commercial success of the product line and manage the entire NPD/NPI process.
Act as the leader of the product or group of products and develop business plans, marketing strategy, forecasts, and product positioning, pricing and Go-To-Market plans in the marketplace.
Define and sustain differentiation amongst competing products and oversee market research, monitor competitive activity, identify customer needs, define product requirements, and set technology plans.
Responsible for the product lifecycle management process which includes actively managing product lifecycle/ EOL, setting the services offering strategy, and managing the comprehensive electronics lifecycle management minimizing component EOL issues and maximizing cost savings; setting pricing and contracting to reflect lifecycle, E&O and lot size costs.
Works cross-functionally with engineering, operations, service, and sales to develop new products or enhance existing product(s) or product line(s). Synchronize product development schedules with engineering and operations.
Drive operations and engineering to deliver NPI projects on-time, value engineering savings and overall cost reductions.
Act as the customer advocate internally, articulating, and prioritizing customer needs and defining the value proposition, establishing standard features versus options. Is the “Go To” person for customer/sales and internal technical groups.
Possess a strong understanding of internal technology, the overall new product development effort and processes, total product life cycle and portfolio management. Effectively collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, service, and sales to develop new products or enhance existing product(s) or product line(s).
