POSITION SUMMARY:

We are searching for a Product Manager with a proven track record in commercializing and creating Route-to-Market product strategy and launch within Automotive Replacement markets in ASEAN, to operate effectively in a matrix environment and have confidence in driving aggressive growth plans. The person should have a consultative and collaborative style, proven track record / achievement. Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

This role is responsible for executing strategies and actions plans to penetrate selected markets by equipping sales teams with the right product value propositions and messaging, sales tools and application knowledge together with Regional functional leaders (i.e. Innovation, Operations, Finance, HR, IT and Supply Chain) to achieve overall organization’s objectives. In addition this role would have to liaise with Multi-discipline team including support functions, to delight our Internal and External stakeholders.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned beyond the core functions listed below.
The responsibilities of the role are to implement the required action plan, manage assigned AR product portfolio management activities to support efforts to achieve go-to-market strategy within the ASEAN region. The role shall carry out tactical activities to provides guidance, product sales analysis and reporting to improve sales teams’ effectiveness. In addition, it is to support key tasks, including to lead business development initiatives for new segments aligned with Regional vision and aspirations.
The assigned territories include Power Transmission - Automotive businesses in South East Asia. This individual is expected to grow the existing business.
The Product Manager’s specific responsibilities will fall into three primary areas:

ACCOUNTABILITY #1: CUSTOMER (INTERNAL / EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS)

  • Develop in-depth understanding of market trends and competitive landscape
  • Work closely with sales organizations to develop and commercialist robust product route-to-market sales strategies
  • Identify potential 3rd party suppliers within ASEAN to package ‘fit for purpose’ products to markets

ACCOUNTABILITY #2: PROCESS / PERFORMANCE

  • Have an up-to-date positioning of Gates product offering to deliver the right message contents, strategy and leverage on various tools in ways that is most effective to the business needs
  • Package and price products scientifically, to drive higher consumption and revenue for the company
  • Product launch - commercialise and plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation (Global Product team, marketing team and catalogue team) of the plan
  • Manage and ensure the product offering, value, positioning and differentiation are updated in all required collaterals and Marcom materials that support sales enablement
  • Synergise and support cross marketing efforts, identifying the right programs and events of participation that will drive the highest ROI of marketing spend.
  • Once product lauched in-market, continue to drive product conversion, adoption, usage and revenue for all targeted products

ACCOUNTABILITY #3: PEOPLE

  • Educate, train and equip the Sales team in promoting and selling Gates products
