PRODUCT MANAGER - CONVEYOR MONITORING & CONTROL

YOU’LL NEED THESE TO SUCCEED

We are looking for someone with the passion and drive to be a subject matter expert, this will include:

  • Qualifications in electrical engineering OR an electrical trade;
  • Experience working within an electrical / manufacturing environment;
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with an ability to communicate ideas and concepts clearly to stakeholders;
  • Experience with CAD design tools and Microsoft Office applications.

Positioned within our Product Management team you will be a central source of knowledge for Ampcontrol’s range of products, providing expertise to both our internal operations, as well as a range of external customers, stakeholders and service providers. Key activities include:

  • The provision of technical advice to our engineers and sales/BD reps to facilitate problem resolution and product application issues;
  • Actively initiating ideas for innovation for new and existing product designs;
  • Providing assistance and contributing technical ideas in the development of engineering proposals, as well as enhanced solutions to existing and emerging business opportunities;
  • Monitoring relevant standards and ensure appropriate update or changes are made to our product range

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Product Management team is seeking a technically minded and self-motivated Product Manager to support the sales growth of our Environmental Monitoring & Conveyor Control products. The Role will be based at Tomago head office.

As the Product Manager you will be the link between our customers, and the broader Ampcontrol operations. Simply, as the Product Manager you are the owner of the product range, responsible for leading all aspects of its place in the market. Some key functions include:

  • Manage products through the complete life cycle, from strategic planning to end-of-life
  • Establish product roadmaps across multiple product releases
  • Participate in formal product development processes
  • Develop product go to market plans for any new products
  • Support financial requirements of product management including pricing, budgeting and forecasting
  • Work closely with other business departments to deliver the best outcomes
