About Us:
The Merchant Dashboard & Servicing team empowers over 32 million merchants to manage and grow their business via PayPal.com and the PayPal Business app on iOS and Android. We help all merchants – from small business owners to large enterprises – manage their accounts, products, and services on the PayPal commerce platform.
Role Overview:
We’re looking for a talented, customer-focused Product Manager to own the Merchant App Center and drive personalization initiatives for our merchants. In this role, you will be responsible for helping our merchants discover all the products and services that PayPal has to offer by leveraging personalization to recommend the right product in the right place at the right time. Additionally, you will manage our personalization engine, which is crucial for both recommendation and overall experience personalization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive the strategy and roadmap for the Merchant App Center, ensuring that it delivers value to all PayPal merchants.
  • Manage the personalization engine to personalize recommendations to users based on their behaviors and segment affinity, as well as personalize the overall experience based on features and products that they are using.
  • Lead the end-to-end product development process from concept to launch, collaborating closely with engineering, design, marketing, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Develop a deep understanding of merchant needs and pain points, and translate them into product requirements.
  • Define and conduct user research to gather insights and validate product hypotheses.
  • Design and execute A/B tests to evaluate the effectiveness of product changes and optimizations.
  • Ensure that product features and implementations adhere to relevant security and compliance requirements in the fintech industry.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, preferably in e-commerce, fintech, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and launching products or features that drive measurable business impact.
  • Experience with personalization engines and recommendation systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end checkout flow and its importance in the conversion process.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, or R.
  • Understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies, APIs, and integrations.
  • Experience in designing and conducting user research and A/B tests.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $72700 to $176000
