Responsibilities:

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Collect Voice of the Customer input – Through direct communication with customers and applications engineers identify how customers use our Yield Learning dual beam products and what drives their buying behavior. That information will be used to develop product roadmaps that offer high value solutions to semiconductor customers.
Product Development – Create Market Requirements Documents that are used by engineering to develop future products and a strong roadmap. Understand the semiconductor market and identify what products should be positioned for specific market segments.
Work with R&D, service, Sales and Marketing Support – Develop compelling presentations and collateral that conveys a clear value proposition. Attend conferences and trade shows, product launches, and webinars. Deliver internal sales training and system trees that facilitate a seamless order process.
Strategic Planning – Create a short and long term revenue forecast that can be used by finance and manufacturing to plan and build products that accurately meet customer demand.
Complete Product Life Cycle Ownership, resulting in being held accountable for delivering products that meet or exceed market requirements on time.
Travel as needed to visit with customers and other Thermo Fisher sites

This role requires an outstanding combination of soft skills and commercial competence to be successful. The successful candidate wants to be involved with a diverse team and exposed to a constant variety of sophisticated customer and engineering issues. This role involves collateral generation, product promotion, presenting to customers, helping to recognize and prioritize high-value problems for customers, and effectively implement tactical plans in coordination with External Marketing, Product Marketing, and Applications.

  • University degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics and/or masters in business administration.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with dual beam systems is desired
  • At least 5 years’ experience in relevant engineering, applications, marketing and/or technical support roles, and first-hand knowledge of the semiconductor or microscopy markets.
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills which can be tailored to the right audience (executive, customer facing, and internal).
  • Must be proficient in English speaking and writing.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, self-motivated, hard-working, good at team work, and quick to learn.
  • Excellent customer interfacing skills is a must.
  • Proven track record in interacting with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
  • Ability to write (scientific) papers and other publications.
  • Ability to travel internationally (up to 25%), ability to obtain a valid passpor
