JOB DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Director, Product & Channel Marketing, Sun Life Global Investments (SLGI), the Product Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of product marketing strategies for Sun Life Global Investments payout annuities, accumulation annuities, GICs, segregated and mutual funds for the Retail channel. This includes working closely with several product management teams to maintain and build marketing support for the business lines including marketing material (presentations, brochures, websites & videos) and other product initiatives.
In fulfilling the role, the Product Marketing Manager will work closely with various teams including close collaboration with Product management, Compliance, Channel marketing, National accounts, Retail sales, Digital Marketing, Design and Creative and the Investment Communications team as appropriate with the objective of delivering effective and high-quality marketing support.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Product Management, Sales, Digital Marketing and Compliance to ensure a consolidated and fully integrated approach to product marketing that helps achieve the business objectives and sales goals
  • Develop an in-depth and ongoing knowledge of Sun Life Global Investments product line-up and overall industry trends
  • Conceptualize charts and PPT visuals working with partners to deliver thoughtful product positioning to maximize sales opportunities
  • Create, lead and manage the development and execution of all product marketing strategies including tactical strategies, updates, new marketing materials and landing pages (web) for products in collaboration with Product Management and Sales
  • Build and maintain annual product marketing plan for solutions assigned
  • Help build go to market plans for new product launches
  • Develop relationships with the Retail Sales teams and solicit feedback to help measure successes and identify areas for improvement with regards to marketing initiatives
  • Identify measures of success (i.e. sales, assets, requests, etc.)
