Product Owner

at  European Dynamics

We currently have a vacancy for a Product Owner fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site

REQUIREMENTS

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• Minimum 7 years’ of experience in IT web development projects;
• Minimum 7 years’ of experience in Project Management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, PMI,PM2);
• Minimum 7 years’ of experience in project planning tools (e.g. MS Project);
• Minimum 7 years’ of experience in Agile methodology (e.g. SCRUM, Kanban, etc.);
• Minimum 7 years’ of experience in tools like JIRA and Confluence or Gitlab;
• Minimum 7 years’ of experience in web development;
• Minimum 7 years’ of experience in relational databases;
• Minimum 7 years’ of experience in translating user needs into technical requirements;
• Minimum 5 years’ of experience in web services (e.g., SOAP, REST);
• Minimum 5 years’ of experience in reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlikview, Superset);
• Minimum 2 years’ of experience in managing technical teams;
• Good knowledge of Application Management Lifecycle;
• Experience with large, enterprise-level multi-user and technologies information systems;
• One of the following certifications is mandatory: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) or SAFe Product Owner or equivalent;
• Any of the following certifications would be considered as an asset: ITIL certification above ITIL foundation (or equivalent), Project management certification such as Prince2, PM² (or equivalent);
• Excellent command of the English language.

• Interact and validate requirements with the business;
• Propose solutions by combining IT tools and business process refactoring or improvements based on an indepth understanding of a specific business domain (see skills);
• Create, maintain, prioritize, and sequence the product backlog based on business value or return of investment;
• Create user stories and acceptance tests from themes and features granular enough for a single sprint;
• Involved in the decision making process related to user stories scheduling into sprints;
• Review deliverable and demonstrable product version/software functionalities after every sprint;
• Assist with prioritization and resolution of defects / bugs.
