Description:
mdf commerce Inc . is an international team of approximately 650 experts who develop a broad set of SaaS solutions to optimize and accelerate commercial interactions of its B2B and B2G customers.
Working in the eprocurement sector, we are currently looking for a Product Owner to join our team.
As part of the Product and Technology Management team, you will lead and guide our outsourced development teams with product requirements translations across our 5 major software platforms.
You will be walking into a great opportunity, by interacting with various engineering teams. You will succeed with a background in working with offshore development teams, product research & discovery, communicating vision & plans, in a timely manner as the company continues to grow.

Responsibilities:
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES LOOK LIKE?
- Focus on product execution, assist with strategy, work with the Product Manager (who focuses on strategy), in order to make product vision into reality.
- Enhancing the company’s product processes and always looks for efficiency to improve the business.
- Creating product artifacts to showcase vision and concepts, report and graph all product knowledge in easy-to-understand methodologies, providing forecasts of product and roadmap status.
- Managing the entire product lifecycle, from planning to launch, including scope, specification, prioritization, implementation, quality assurance, launch, and iteration.
- Responsible for all aspects of the software product, from backend functionality to frontend design, for both existing enhancements and new functionality add-ons. You will oversee several releases a year.
- Estimating lead time and production schedules.
- Writing design specifications and supporting the engineering team by assisting in grooming (Jira) tickets and help with development specifications.
- Working with Development/Engineering/QA teams for architectural designs, test cases, and to gain the best LOE to assist in forecasting work and roadmap capacity.
- Improving UX/UI, working with designers to aggregate similar functionalities or data elements, visually improving technology with well-versed English language, verbiage, terminology labels, and tool tips.
- Point person for product questions - attend daily development meetings, scrum ceremonies, in order to facilitate any roadblocks.
- Develop and prioritize the work backlog based on customer commitments, product roadmap, and company strategy.
- Stakeholder assistance - Assist designers and the Product Manager for demonstrations, provide deep level internal support when no one else knows the answer.Document features and helps write usage instructions.
WHAT ELEMENTS OF YOUR PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND WILL BE NECESSARY AND USEFUL IN THIS ROLE?
- Bachelor’s degree
- Four (4) years as a Product Owner
- Two (2) years as a Project Manager or Business Analyst in the Software industry.
- Knowledge of Procurement processes, preferably within a public or semipublic organization, is a strong asset;
- Experience with managing projects that includes outsourced/offshore development teams, keeping track of projects within an Agile methodology (SCRUM).
- Previous experience within Procurement, ERP, HR, Fintech, or similar industries.
- An eye for design and UX/UI.
- Experience with data analysis is an asset.
- Experience with Pragmatic Framework, an asset.Fluency in spoken and written English.
