PRODUCT OWNER

Active Security Clearance Required -TS/SCI (CI Poly, desired)
Summary/Objective:
Bogart Associates of Northern VA is seeking a Product Owner. This Program supports unclassified and classified software development and integration services. Some of the work we will do is brand new Big Data, data analysis, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and advanced analytics, while other work will be refining and improving legacy development, as well as providing operations and maintenance. As Product Owner, the selected candidate will be responsible for working with the customer to manage and refine program requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of relevant experience OR a Master’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience OR a PhD with 4 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience maybe considered in lieu of the degree requirement
  • Cloud experience/understanding of cloud architecture
  • Data architecture experience
  • Experience with Atlassian suite of tools
  • Familiar with Git
  • Active TS/SCI

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Software development experience in a virtual environment like AWS
  • Experience with Jira, Jenkins, and Gitlab
  • Active TS/SCI CI poly

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Work with the government team to clarify requirements (initiatives, epics, & stories)
  • Manage and refine product feature backlog
  • Lead user story development and definition of acceptance criteria
  • Prioritize functionality into sprints and coordinate management of expectations
  • Support program level functional roadmap development
  • Provide functional needs and depth of understanding to the team during sprint planning
  • Support system demos
  • Help identify and manage internal and external dependencies
  • Coordinate efforts across the program and work dependencies with the greater team
  • Support Product Team scrum meetings.
