ABOUT YOU

We are looking for the right person, with a good attitude who will be a solid team fit with the following skills and experiences: -

• You should have a minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a product owner.
• Proven expertise in product management practices and Agile methodologies is essential.
• Experience in developing product vision,strategy,roadmap and prioritising backlog
• A strong understanding of software engineering and DevOps principles is crucial.
• Familiarity with AWS services, especially serverless concepts and infrastructure as code, will be beneficial.
• Good understanding of industry best practice techniques for building frameworks and patterns
• Proficiency in using DevOps tools like GitHub, GitHub Actions, GitHub Advanced Security, Snyk, and ServiceNow is important.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with an ability to build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders
• Ability to make informed decisions, balancing short-term needs with long-term strategic goals
• Certification in Product Ownership is ideal.
• A risk management mindset

As a Product Owner, your role involves leading the product roadmap and development for our platform tools and frameworks within Platform Engineering. You’ll collaborate with customers to understand their needs and contribute to the platform strategy. Additionally, you’ll help evolve our platform offering using modern agile practices. You’ll work in a cross-functional agile team that consists of Platform Engineers, Technical Product Owners, Platform Architects etc.

In this role some of the key responsibilities includes: -

• Lead end-to-end product development for platform tools and frameworks supporting critical workloads in IAG’s Customer Technology Division.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and maintain a prioritized product backlog, while clearly communicating the roadmap.
• Drive adoption and ensure a seamless onboarding experience for your products.
• Communicate vision and priorities to the team, leading them to deliver outcomes for consumers.
• Work with technology stakeholders to design solutions meeting IAG standards.
• Provide expertise in your team’s products and address project and user queries.
• Identify, analyze, and communicate product requirements, collaborating with your team on feasibility and effort estimates.
• Facilitate workshops and forums for product support, feedback, and improvements.
• Give stakeholders early visibility into potential solutions and the product roadmap.
• Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends to drive innovation and maintain up-to-date tech.

This is a full time, permanent role that is open to people based anywhere in Sydney or Melbourne.
This role offers flexible working conditions that support a mix of working from home and being in the office.
