ABOUT THE JOB

At WiseTech Global, our people and teams worldwide are aligned in our vision to create the operating systems for global logistics. Our customers use our software to run their global logistics businesses and part of this end-to-end solution.
As a Product Specialist, you see our customers challenges as opportunities. You use your knowledge of analytics to get into the fine detail, and find the solutions others miss. You will conduct in-depth market research and customer analysis to identify customer needs and in turn advise our product and development team on the product’s future direction. You will be comfortable supporting the data needs of the business, systems and products.
The ideal candidate will have experience monitoring analytical product lifecycles and a knowledge of the logistics industry would be advantageous. An understanding of business analysis methodologies and techniques as well as development skills and a big passion for data is highly regarded. You will also possess superior communication and people skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels within the organization. You will work with other stakeholders in the business to write technical and business requirements and use cases.

Responsibilities:

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Investigate and provide solutions to complex issues
  • Support the development for new and existing analytical and data features and functionalities
  • Design the reporting solutions and build out prototypes
  • Analyze and document the product development processes
  • Identify and evaluate inefficiencies and recommend optimal business practice and system functionality/ behaviors
  • Deliver high quality customer service in the form of 2nd line support
  • Analyze existing data governance and privacy requirements, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Product development review (UAT/ QA) for software fixes and new features
  • Work collaboratively with customers and the development team throughout the lifecycle for new features

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:

  • An understanding of business analysis methodologies and techniques, including requirements gathering, process modelling and documentation
  • A basic understanding of databases
  • Experience working with SQL and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Familiarity with data governance technologies and solutions
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge and experience in logistics industry is advantageous
  • Experience working with notebooks is favorable
  • Experience in Microsoft BI stack (MS SQL, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI, OLAP) highly regarded
