As part of the delivery of the UK MOD P8 contract, Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is looking for a GOLDesp Boundary Cell Engineer to support the P8 Poseidon Team providing electronic data creation, management and updating.
The successful candidate will provide direct assistance to the Senior Supervisor in the Boundary Cell and fulfil the CAMO responsibilities as articulated in the Poseidon CAME and where necessary as directed by the MILCAM.
GOLDesp Boundary Cell (BC) personnel are responsible to the Supervisor GOLDesp BC for the following:
a. Ensuring that the Boundary Cell Procedures contained in 201 Sqn (Eng) SEAOB Part 2 orders are completed in an efficient and timely manner IAW JAP (D) 100A-0409-1/2.
b. Maintaining effective communication regarding GOLDesp between relevant platform PTs, 201Sqn (Eng) Docs Cell, Rects control and Execs, Sections within RAF Lossiemouth and other external agencies.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

GOLDesp BC personnel are responsible for the following:
a. Check the GOLDesp BC Tasking Log during the week to ensure continuous progress is made in processing pending work within the BC.
b. Carry out checks of aircraft component paperwork, by gaining access to the manufactures packaging, to ensure correct conditioning and airworthiness details are present prior to GOLDesp creation.
c. The management of creation and updates within the GOLDesp Boundary in line policy, ensuring all work is prioritised correctly.

THESE DUTIES ARE BROKEN DOWN INTO THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES:

(1) Using the correct documentation, ensure all items of equipment designated GOLDesp tracked at Poseidon Line Squadron are electronically captured and have all technical data, life details and modification history transferred onto the GOLDesp system. Amend these details (post-creation/update) when required, so providing end users with this data.
(2) Export assets electronically to another GOLDesp Boundary when required.
(3) Receive assets electronically from a different GOLDesp Boundary and update assets as required maintaining good data integrity.
d. When qualified, carry out QA of assets created or updated by other BC personnel as required.
e. Deputise for Senior Supervisor GOLDesp BC in times of absence as required.

THIS ROLE REQUIRES THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN UK SECURITY CLEARANCE

Essential Skills/Qualifications: It is essential for the post holder to have (and completed):
a. IMT for the appropriate trade.
b. JPA Competency - IS/IT User|GOLDesp – Boundary|Joint|.

a. GOLDesp Level 6 access for Boundary Cell functions
