QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Engineering Physics, or similar multi- disciplinary engineering field
• 1-4 years of applicable experience
• Highly motivated
• Solid foundation in physics and math
• Electrical capability such that the candidate understands basic electronic fault finding, the use of multi-meters and oscilloscopes and can competently solder
• Software capability such that the candidate is fluent in the Microsoft office suite, can install software utilities and maintain a windows environment
• Excellent prototyping and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with diverse manufacturing technologies (e.g., machining, additive manufacturing, injection moulding)
• Experience designing, building, and troubleshooting electrical circuits
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, OnShape or similar solid modelling software
• Basic understanding of optics (mirror and lens scale)
• Proficiency with Eagle, KiCAD or other PCB layout software
• Knowledge of Java software
• Basic experience with software and/or firmware development is an asset
• Able to work under pressure and to consistently meet deadlines
• Experience of working and adhering to ISO13485 Quality Management Systems would be beneficial

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:

As a Product Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the support of our manufacturing product line to maintain our exceptional performance and to bring new perspective to existing processes. We’re looking for an enthusiastic engineer with a thorough working knowledge of Mechanical, Electronic design and Software engineering. The successful candidate will work closely with the R&D manager (Yourgene Health Canada), engineers, scientists and manufacturing personnel.
