Description:
DESCRIPTION
This Production Associate Position is responsible for the production of valuable, defect-free products that meet or exceed our customers’ expectation.
What you’ll be doing:
- Operate machines and production equipment safely and in accordance with instructions.
- Monitor the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products.
- Maintain accurate daily production records so that manufacturing performance can be analyzed.
- Follow Schedule Boards or Hour by Hour boards
- Run samples and adjust print quality, registration, color settings and mixings to match
- order specifications.
- Perform final pre-run inspection of job, quality checks during the run, and job completion,
- meeting quality and quantity standards.
- Perform all required preventive maintenance of equipment.
- Handle and dispose of hazardous materials and chemicals according to procedures.
- Work from standard work, written instructions, and established procedures to complete
- assigned tasks.
- Address and resolve routine inquiries and problems, referring the more complex issues
- to the supervisors.
- Contribute to problem solving through root-cause analysis.
- Interact with different team members to provide updates on current jobs, issues, or updates.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Basic math and computer skills including email, Microsoft Office, and data entry.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to safely lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for 80% of shift.
- Ability to read & follow written directions
- Detail oriented, strong work ethic & a positive can do attitude
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Mechanical aptitude (working with hand tools, pneumatic tools, following work instructions
- Disassembling and reassembling various types of process equipment); must be able to read a ruler accurately within 1/64”
- Ability to follow standard work and maintain standards of production (both in quantity and quality)
- Willingness and ability to be cross-trained
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- 1 year of experience in large format digital printing
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and self-direction
- Experience in lean manufacturing
- Basic algebra knowledge
- CNC Router experience
- HTML design proficiency at a beginner skill level
- Experience with graphics software
Pay Rate from $24/hr
