Responsibilities:
WHAT DOES THE ROLE LOOK LIKE?
Join our team as a Production Planner, reporting directly to the Military AFM Production Control Lead. In this crucial role, you’ll play a pivotal part in ensuring the availability of both new and used materials to meet customer demands in accordance with our production plans.
Your responsibilities will include coordinating material procurement and allocation, optimizing inventory levels, and collaborating closely with various teams to ensure smooth and timely production processes. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of our operations and make a real impact on our ability to fulfil customer requirements efficiently.
WHAT WILL YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES LOOK LIKE?
- Gain a deep understanding of forecasted and planned customer demand to effectively anticipate material and production requirements.
- Develop and manage Lines of Balance for each product delivery, ensuring alignment with production schedules and customer requirements.
- Coordinate the release of work orders in accordance with production needs, maintaining smooth workflow and minimizing delays.
- Implement an escalation process to address and resolve deviations from the production plan promptly and effectively.
- Oversee the management of engineering change introductions, product transfers, and Entry into Service activities, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption to operations.
- Collaborate closely with operators, production schedules, materials, and equipment to ensure on-time delivery of products to all customers.
- Communicate all customer delivery commitments clearly and effectively to ensure alignment across the organization.
