Description:

Norco have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Coordinator to join the leadership team at our busy milk manufacturing site at Labrador.
Reporting to the Senior Production Coordinator, the successful candidate will provide supportive and effective leadership to their team, oversee shift operations and ensure safety, quality, and performance requirements are met, whilst aligning with our company values and Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PRODUCTION COORDINATOR:

  • Oversee shift operations to ensure all product is delivered in full and on time.
  • Lead performance management, absence management, reward and recognition, recruitment, and training for your team.
  • Lead by example and coach others to create a work culture in line with our Code of Conduct and values.
  • Ensure employees adhere to SOP’s, Golden Safety Rules, and our WHS management system.
  • Report, record and resolve any safety issues, including incidents, hazards, and near misses.
  • Ensure all GMP and quality standards are maintained, and any non-conformances are communicated and resolved promptly.
  • Establish and maintain rosters for your team in collaboration with Senior Production Coordinator and key staff.
  • Deliver communication updates to your team via the Daily Management System (DMS).
  • Maintain a working knowledge of machines and operational processes to provide basic troubleshooting support as required.
  • Encourage the adoption of new programs and policies and seek or provide training for both yourself and your staff as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • Proven food manufacturing experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in people leadership, including recruitment, training, coaching and performance management (etc).
  • Understanding of Food Safety regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Basic computer competencies in Word, Excel & SAP.
  • Demonstrated effective/natural communication skills.
  • Demonstrated mathematical aptitude with high-level attention to detail.
  • Thorough time management skills with the ability to meet set deadlines.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
