Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The role of the Production Coordinator is to coordinate delivery and return of parts to subcontract suppliers and ensure all components are present before issuing assembly to fitting area. The Production Coordinator will work closely with Manufacturing Supervising Team and Planning Department to ensure all required parts are being processed on time to deliver projects to Assembly and Testing Department.
The ideal candidate will also be required to support implement a Lean culture within manufacturing department to ensure quality is achieved, costs are controlled and all aspects of waste are eliminated.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF PRODUCTION COORDINATOR:

  • Ensure right first time components are delivered to both internal and external customers
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures within manufacturing team are adhered to
  • Help ensure team KPI’s set around throughput are achieved
  • Ensure schedule adherence through OP47
  • Work with Manufacturing Supervisors ensuring priority jobs are complete
  • Liaise with external suppliers where Sub Contract work is required for manufactured parts
  • Track urgent jobs through suppliers ensuring they are delivered on time
  • Follow up with suppliers for return of parts to ensure on time delivery to customers
  • Raise Purchase orders in a timely fashion and delivery to suppliers
  • Coordinate shipment times to suppliers to minimise cost
  • Communicate to relevant people assemblies not complete at OP47

Key Performance Indicators:

  • On time delivery to internal schedule OP47
  • Correct deliveries to fitting
